Music, Movies, and Books
I am an avid movie goer and I enjoy all genres as long as they are engaging. My favorite time of year is Jan-Feb because that is when all the great movies come out:)) In terms of music, I am all across the board. I enjoy blues and reggae especially, but anything with a good beat can get me going. I read fiction, nonfiction, current affairs, and poetry. Some of my favorite authors are Ken Follet, T.C. Boyle, Jorge Luis Borges, Paul Theroux, Orhan Pamuk, Isabel Allende, and many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived and worked abroad this past year in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. Prior to going out there I did not know one word in Spanish. At times, I would become so emotional feeling like I had no one to speak to or have fun with. However, I opened up and made best friends of a lifetime. I worked and excelled in my hotel and became Events Manager. I realized how much I loved living on my own especially in a new environment.
