Hello, everyone! I am Odysseas, I am originally from Greece but I live and work in Iceland.

I am a photographer and outdoor guide (https://www.instagram.com/odysseas.chl/) living Iceland, leading various tours from city walks, to Northern Lights, and glacier hikes.

It was in my Erasmus+ studies in Santarem, Portugal that I had the opportunity to properly appreciate the life-changing impact that traveling can have in our psyche and that's when my adventures began.

My experience abroad taught me that there is no better way to becoming culturally richer than meeting people from other countries and seeing their own point of view and perspective.

My goal now is to travel the world, make new friends meet new cultures and capture our planet's beauty through my lens! I am open to anything new, people, places, food, music. experiences.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people discovering new places and travelling to any country or city I am given the chance to. I think that Couchsurfing is the most interesting way to travel as it allows you to see a place not like a tourist but from the eyes of a person who really knows the place you are visiting.

In general I like doing anything that I feel like it makes be a better person, i enjoy testing my mind and my abilities with anything new that comes in front of me.

I love any kind of outdoor activity and by that I mean anything! I am in love with books, mostly about psychology, philosophy life improvement and biographies and I deeply enjoy reading articles about economics, business, psychology, and LifeHacks.

I am also crazy about learning new languages. I like to get and note down any word or phrase i can, from any kind of language! I am currently learning Portuguese and i hope soon to move into Russian.

Music: Any kind of music or song that feels good to my ears and especially Rock and Metal.

Movies: I like to watch everything apart from really weird-mind fucking movies and horror movies ( i think that most of them are pointless ).
Some of my favorite movies include: Revolver, Cloud Atlas, Star Wars, Interstellar, Into the Wild, Forest Gump, A Beautifull Mind, Captain Fantastic and much many more, can really keep going for ages on this one.

Favorite Books: Ignorance - Milan Kudera, The Silmarillion - J.R.R. Tolkien, All of the books by Charles Bukowski

I can teach Greek and some Russian to anyone who wants. I love photography so I also share many tips about how to take an awesome photo!
