About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working as a doctor. Enjoying the rest of the time as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

Well, I think I'm pretty easy going, relaxed and very open minded. I'm also a direct and honest person, some people think I'm funny (and of course other don't :-P). I have an opinion about a lot of things and (bad habit) usually think I'm right, but when I'm not I will also admit it. if you have good arguments ;-)

At the moment I'm working as a resident in Pediatrics, not (yet?) doing specialty program to become a pediatrician.

PHILOSOPHY

Respect one another.
If you want something really badly, do whatever you can to get it, or stay unhappy. If it just won't work, go and find other things, the world is so full of cool and nice things that there's plenty to choose from!!

and otherwise:
"Get rhythm, when you get the blues..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted quite a few people and I've surfed twice so far, which all have been great experiences! I can recommend it to anyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up about half august 2007 and so far have hosted 4 american and 2 german travelers, [update: and 1 cool belgian dude, a crazy scottish peruvian and a funny brazilian guy, and a few more americans, swedes, french and germans] which was all very "gezellig!!!" as the dutch would say. (meaning a lot of fun)
[second edit]and been surfing in San Francisco and Chicago. Awesome!!

Interests

Movies (lots!!), music (to listen to: mostly rock and pop, to dance to: salsa. in clubs I like good mixes of rock, pop, urban, hiphop and so on, I'm not a big fan of techno. and to play myself: samba, and I just started learning to play drum kit!), science, history, books, traveling, cultures of the world, fantasy roleplaying (tabletop and forum-based)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Peru and traveling from Peru to Brazil. One of the most amazing things were the Iguaçu waterfalls... unforgettable.
Some fabulous trips Dominique and I have made, include the National Parks in the South-West of the USA, and the north and south island in New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Naturally, being a doctor, I could tell you about medicine and the human body. I also like (and know something about) biology, physics and chemistry. I would like to learn more about history.
Languages I can share are of course Dutch and English, and I'd like to improve my Spanish and German. And I'd like to learn Swedish, Portuguese and Italian. (gotta keep ambitions, right?)

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Brazil, Greece, Italy, Peru, Spain, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
