About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To finish my Cranial-Sacral Therapist Training and find a couch to surf on to provide a base during the training.

ABOUT ME

I am an open-minded free-spirit. I love to travel and just got back to the states from 6 months in Europe and attempted to obtain a work Visa (not yet possible in Germany in my area of work - natural health). It was my longest time abroad.

I am passionate about many things - dancing, singing, outdoor adventuring, performing arts, natural medicine, environmentalism and Buddhism to name a few.

PHILOSOPHY

Cultivating Awareness. In all things. And extending compassion for all beings, without exception.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many a couchsurfer over the years - when I had a steady home to do so. Most of them have been happenstance meetings, not from this website - hitchhikers, wanderers, festival kids, friends of friends, those in need... I am SO excited that this site exists, and am finally using it after after years of having an account, but never using it.

I return to Hawai'i on December 18th to spend holidays with family, and to host a few couchsurfers. If you host me, you are always welcome to couchsurf with me or my family on Big Island. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed hosting quite a lot (Again, not through this site - I've barely used the website. Hosting has happened through my own happenstance meetings :). I have hosted in my parents' home in Hawai'i and in my own home(s) in Boulder, CO, when I lived there.

However...I've also been blessed to be on the receiving end throughout extensive travels, mostly through friends I've already known.

One of my favorite experiences was having a friend ask me for a ride for someone he knew leaving Dreamtime festival 2007. She rode with me and my lover and we had a blast the 6 hours back to Boulder. She stayed at my place along with our mutual friend and another new friend for 2 weeks, and then she stayed an extra week! - We became extremely close friends. We all had so many wonderful adventures together during that time - going out into nature and swimming, hiking, meditating, and creating delicious meals together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes, music & books... not so much movies these days. No time. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bore witness to a very close friend's baby's birth, and assisted in delivery. Although I was inexperienced, we later learned that my hands naturally applied acupressure to the right spots on her sacrum, which helped her cervix dilate. All we knew at the time was that it eased her contractions. Seeing that baby come into this world was one of the most life-altering experiences of my life. I am eternally grateful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer varied meditation instruction, as well as give you a personal 20-minute a day yoga regimen for back and body pain...no flexibility or strength required! This is yin yoga! Some of my clients were in pain for years, but practice daily and are pain-free. :)

I also enjoy offering nutritional and cooking consultation/ lessons and lots of natural health and preventative healing/ cleansing knowledge.

I would love to learn more about Sustainability, Business, Outdoor Sports, Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience, Farming, Wild Harvesting, Midwifery... and most things.
