Overview
About Me
I'm a 22 year old linguistics student from Istanbul. I would describe myself as a calm and agreeable person, if a bit reserved. I like beer quite a lot. I consider myself a Christian (tho it's a bit complicated).
I spend only half of the year in Istanbul, so I might not be available all the time to host. I spend the other half of the year based at Kastamonu so if for some reason you are visiting there, I can be helpful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet and have fun with likeminded people on my travels or their travels.
I really enjoy multilingual environments on my travels, to immerse myself with the native language/culture, which couchsurfing is very useful for.
Interests
I consume media/art quite a lot, especially music and literature. I can say half of my time is spent on reading, listening or watching something.
The other (free) half, I spend mostly with my animals, going outdoors/into nature, doing sports (especially aikido and cycling) and hanging out with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to experimental/progressive/psychedelic rock/metal music along with folk music, but I don't really pick genres, I listen to what I like in general.
My favorite books are Chess, A Clockwork Orange, Notes from Underground and Buf-e Kor and my favorite movies are Kontroll, Jacob's Ladder, Yeraltı and The Lobster.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in linguistic peculiarities and I'd love to practice the languages I'm learning. Likewise, if I can help anyone with their Turkish or English (or anything else), I'd be just as happy.
