ABOUT ME

i'm a harmless weirdo, who likes to peek around and get out there--sometimes wayyyy out there. other times low profile. i am curious, which leads me to good conversation, new places and learning. I am critical and emotional. i am adventurous and resilient. i like trying new things and at the same time, i love comfort.
Things are complex and fluctuating. Each day there can be a new me or some mood or idea drives me to a new place. like, normally i am a very social person, but lately i am happy just being by myself...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've actually been a CS member since 2008 but have started a new profile here. So, lots of my experience surfing was through E. Europe, although not as much as I wished. At the time, i was living in Istanbul, so I had many guests at my place there. I love hosting, although I'm pretty low key. So, i've lot's of experience with CS, although it doesn't appear here because of the new profile page.

movies: Cohen Bros, michealangelo Antonioni, Bertolucci, sweeping panoramas, dark wit, docs, non-hollywood if i can help it. Lately only seeing local documentaries and international films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

so many little things are amazing to me. Simply existing in this world is so complex and awesome; because of this, there's beauty everyday.

Teach, Learn, Share

Converse about education, internationalism, living and traveling abroad.
I can teach about making stencil art for the street. Photography is one of my sidebar passions, especially LOMOgraphy and I have an LCA, a Holga, a fisheye.
I like to share conversation, meals, bubbly wine, laughs, spliffs, doubles on my bicycle, secrets, mosquito repellant.
