ABOUT ME

G'day!!

I am a 31 year old Aussie who decided 2.5 years ago to leave home and venture out on a journey of self-discovery. My adventure started in the Great White North where I settled in the amazing city of Vancouver. Whilst there I met the amazing locals, experienced the city life and worked various jobs (from hostel to kitchen life). I also travelled my way through various parts of the country, including walking through the ice/snow covered Alberta (including Banff, Lake Louise, etc) experiencing -25c weather!!

10 months later I felt it was time to move on and experience life in Europe. I arrived in Scotland, and decided to experience Glasgow for a few weeks and got to meet the friendliest Glaswegians!! After a while I decided I was in need of a city with a pulse and ended up in London. I had been living here ever since, taking up a job in a Hostel, where I met people from all over the world! During my time there I hosted some events in the bar and took up DJ'ing!

It's been a crazy experience and made me realize that I need to start exploring the rest of the world. So I quit my job and now ready to take on the rest of the world!!

PHILOSOPHY

I am currently surfing the wave of couches and enjoying every minute of it! I would like to return the ever grateful opportunities to other members and hosts by helping out any which way I can.

Staying in a Communal house in Vancouver, dumpster diving and living a rather alternative life.

Film, music and print are what drive me to my goal of being a creative artist. I am also heavily interested in the world of body modification, I love the way people manipulate their bodies in a creative and artistic way. At the moment I am working on a creative outlet to bring the body modification world with that of the media world.

As a self-confessed film junkie my celluloid influences range from the cult to the classics and everything in between. With films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Citizen Kane, Se7en, Sunset Boulevard and Adaptation I'm heavily absorbed in the world of film. This means that I drop quotes from tv shows and movies into everyday conversation ;)

Musically speaking my current line-up include punk/rock/metal/alternative with supporting acts electronica and old-school hip-hop/rap. Some bands that make me move and groove are atreyu, the amity affliction, bullet for my valentine, carnifex, disturbed, drowning pool, five finger death punch, oasis, rise against & scar symmetry with rotations of prodigy and daft punk.

My current literary influences are absorbed in the avant-punk movement with reading Carlton Mellick's Punk Land.
