ABOUT ME

I love being a Floridian! However, sometime I'd like to get out and explore the world, of course. I'm majoring in International Studies at the University of South Florida and studying all the foreign languages I can pack into my brain. I always give myself too much to do because I hate saying no when someone asks me to do something! Eventually I plan to study in London in a year or two. I live to love because Christ loved me first, but I'm not your typical "religious nut," I promise!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I can't do a whole lot because my house isn't my house, and I don't think dorms are up for couch surfing. I want to investigate this method of travel for the future, and once I'm able, I'd be happy to host people. What a great way to meet new friends, right?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last weekend I got to crash with about twenty others in one of my friend's parents' beach condo, which was the bomb. Sharing the two bathrooms wasn't easy but it was fun to eat breakfast with everyone and then hop out to the beautiful beach we could see through the window!

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

The Beatles are the best! I also love Beck, the Flaming Lips, Jeff Buckley, T.I., and Gorillaz. I'm also addicted to reggaeton and salsa. I like too many different kinds of movies, like Tropic Thunder, Beauty and the Beast, Nacho Libre, Jurassic Park, and all the Star Wars movies (except Jar Jar Binks is really annoying!). Books are wonderful; I love Harry Potter, The Great Gatsby, anything by Vonnegut, and Their Eyes Were Watching God, among many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've pet a baby penguin before! It was really soft.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play acoustic guitar and can make some mean cuisine with stuff just lying around the house. I'd love to get better at speaking the languages I'm studying and maybe pick up some dance skills, especially salsa!
