Hey!
My name is Steffi and I am originally from Germany's most beautiful state: Bavaria ;-).
Currently I am trying to figure out what to do with my life or if I should start another degree at university. As I hate decicions, it's quite a rough time ;)

I live in Augsburg, a beautiful city close to Augsburg. Originally I am from the North of Bavaria but after I finished school I wanted to leave the countryside and live in "real Bavaria"...almost made it :-)
2011/12 I lived and studied in Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland. This is also the reason why I hardly haven't seen any other new place or country since then. All my vacation is spent up North - but there's still so much to explore!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I haven't been active on Couchsurfing for a loooong time and only have 2 experiences with staying at a place - but I have met really great people through Couchsurfing and I think that's what Couchsurfing is about! One of them is a dear friend from Finland who contacted me when I lived in Rovaniemi. Now, 4 years later, we are still in contact!

Music: don't have any favorite, but I love the Beatles!
Books: of course Harry Potter....but I am not much of a reader these days - I prefer knitting ;)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

It's not one thing as I have seen the Northern Lights countless times (I'd say up to 30 times by now :D) but I have some special Northern Lights memories:
at a sandy beach in Tromso, with -36C from my balcony in Rovaniemi or from my home village in Bavaria in 2015.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach you basic Finnish words (or German ;)) and maybe some knitting!? :D
Oh and as I work(ed) as a tour guide in Sweden/Finland/Norway, I am the perfect person to talk to if you are planning a trip up North !
