About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get an appreciation of people and cultures around the world

ABOUT ME

I am a person who loves to learn about culture and languages. I enjoy travelling, making new friends, eating different foods and seeing and experiencing the diversity and richness of life around the world.

I like learning about all things natural and by that I mean natural foods, fruits and veges, organic foods, barefoot running, minimizing use of chemicals and manufactured products on myself, and things like that. I try to keep active and healthy so I can experience and enjoy the world wherever I am.

I am a Malaysian who grew up in New Zealand. I spent so mu

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Christian. I live life because life is a good gift and there are many things to learn and people to meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently doing a 4 month research program at the University of Bath, UK, but when I return to NZ i'm happy to show people around my city - Auckland City. I am proud of my country and enjoy showing people the special things about NZ - not typically the touristy things but some of those are ok.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Little with CS but the concept of sleeping on a couch, floor or other non-bed surface is not unfamiliar to me =).

Interests

Orchestral music - I play the French Horn, Earth buildings, culture, languages, cultural foods and experiences, travel, organic and local food, walking and running and treking through cities and the natural environment and conquering landmarks like mountains, making new friends around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch many movies unless i'm on an aeroplane, music is a mix between what's in at the moment and orchestral music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on a National Geographic documentary aired in 2010 about rammed earth structures! How it came about was quite an unlikely story but what's done is done =).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm doing doctoral research on rammed earth buildings so if you want to talk that - then i'm fine with that. I like thinking about philosophy and have travelled a bit through SE Asia, Australia/NZ.
