I'm a realist who is trying to view the world in a more positive and optimistic manner. I try to keep perspective and remind myself that I lead a pretty good life and am surrounded by great people. I live my life to share experiences and moments with friends and family.

I'm new to CouchSurfing but have friends who really enjoy it so I'm looking forward to trying it out! I'm looking forward to seeing some sites and exploring the food scenes of the cities I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many different genres of music. I grew up listening to country and the "oldies," listened to pop music through the 90s and early 00s, developed an interest for singer-songwriters in college, and now I really like electronic/alternative/indie stuff.

As for movies, I like ones that have an original plot line and are creative but still am a sucker for cheesy and predictable chick-flicks and horror films.

I don't make enough time for reading these days, sadly. When I do pick up a book it's usually something within popular fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I had the opportunity to see Venus transit the disk of the Sun. It was crazy to watch it and know that no one will see that phenomenon for 100 years.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm no expert but I finally feel pretty comfortable in the kitchen cooking a variety of dishes. I would love to share and receive any cooking/baking tips and recipes.

Astronomy is my passion and love sharing my knowledge for the subject. Just don't ask me to get too deep into astrophysics!

My boyfriend is into hiking, camping, and brewing beer. He's getting pretty serious about all three and I know he would enjoy chatting for hours about them.
