We’re an expat couple living and exploring in Taiwan.

We’re not Taiwanese 🇹🇼 but we might be able to provide an expat point of view. We enjoy exploring Taiwan and have been to many places within the country.

We’re both English teachers in elementary schools. On top of that I have a side job as a tour guide, leading a food tour at one of the local night markets.

We’d like to spend time with our guests and build friendships instead of just offering a bed. We’re usually free on weekdays evenings, and we like to go exploring during the weekends. Let us know about your plans so that we can see if we can accommodate you.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I used Couchsurfing a lot back in 2017 when I was backpacking in Europe, since then I hadn’t really had the chance to host or surf. I’m very happy that now I get the chance to do both, and it’s still great as it used to be.

CS is like you have friends from everywhere who you haven't met yet. I’ve met a lot of cool people and had fun time with them through CS. I enjoy this community and the experience.

兴趣

I enjoy playing guitar and painting with watercolour, also love trying out new sports or physical activities.
Declan enjoys cycling around (I do too), learning languages and playing traditional games (like Chinese chess, Go and Mahjong).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Sky diving + Bungee jumping in New Zealand
- Travelled through Europe by land!
- Finished the Camino de Santiago (Camino Francés)!! Walked 888km across Spain until "the end of the world"
- Jumped into the icy lake in Sweden at 0'C!
- 10 days meditation course in Taiwan. No connection to the world, no speaking, no meat, no exercises, no reading, only meditation
