Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be the best me I can and have fun doing it.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Greg. I grew up in the Eastern reaches of Poland but I've studied in London for five years and now I live and work in Frankfurt. It's a good life.
I translate for work, climb for fun, and game as a way of life.
PHILOSOPHY
My MBTI personality type is INTJ. I believe that people are inherently good, the world fundamentally makes sense, and rainbows follow rain closely.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CS but I really admire the cause and would like to do my best to contribute; I'll start by going to meetups and accepting coffee invites!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No CS proper, but I've done a fair share of AirBnB; perhaps it's time to kick it up a notch.
Interests
Most all kinds of geekery. Music, games and knowing things about things/people. Clouds with funny shapes. Origami.

Music, Movies, and Books
here's a random selection:
"Tortilla Flat" by Steinbeck; Raymond Chandler's "The
Big Sleep"; "Dune" by Frank Herbert.
"Garden State"; "Firefly"; "Funny Face".
Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Metric, Martina Topley-Bird, SoutaiseiRiron, Jesus Christ Superstar.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met Nathan Filion (plus his brother) on the London Underground and had him sign the Firefly comics which I randomly happened to have in my bag. (he wrote 'To Greg - some train ride, eh?')
I slept on a cliff in Dover when nightfall surprised me midway between towns on the coastline. Huddled behind a thorny bush to make sure I wouldn't fall off in my sleep.
I went to Hawaii on my own for two weeks, during which I saw/experienced more than I can possibly process in a year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know about most branches of Linguistics; I can teach you some Japanese, Polish or English (in any of these languages).
I can teach you to play (but probably not win at) any board/card game I know (which is not that many but I'm always learning).
I'd be happy to exchange knowledge of Origami diagrams.
I can bake (and/or teach to bake!) a mean Peach Crumb Cake.
Learning to cook new tasty things would most likely make my week.
