I’m Oksana, a UX/UI designer from Ukraine. Creativity is a big part of my life — I love drawing, exploring art, and finding inspiration in different cultures and music. Traveling is my way to discover the world and connect with amazing people.

I’m open-minded, positive, and curious. I enjoy deep conversations, learning from others, and sharing my own experiences. I’m also very active in volunteering and supporting the defenders of my country — this is an important part of who I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first tried Couchsurfing with my sister in Budapest and later in Spain — and it completely changed the way I see traveling. It’s not just about having a place to stay, it’s about meeting people, exchanging cultures, and creating real friendships. For me, this is the heart of traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different types of music, from indie rock to classical and instrumental. Music inspires me to create and keeps me connected with different cultures. I read a lot and enjoy movies that make me think or inspire me — it’s hard to pick just one favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I cut off 47 cm of my hair and sold it. With that money, I traveled to Spain and bought tickets for an Imagine Dragons concert. That experience became a turning point — I fell in love with traveling and realized that dreams are achievable when you’re determined.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basics of the Ukrainian language, share stories about my country, and tell you about Lviv — the cultural capital of Ukraine. I also love to draw and can share some simple tips.

Besides that, I’m passionate about UX/UI design — it’s my profession and something I speak about at conferences and in lectures. I can tell you a lot about design, creativity, and also about how AI is shaping our work and everyday life.
