About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit as many places around the world as possible

ABOUT ME

I'm Christian. I am very outgoing and tend to strike up conversations with total strangers. If I'm sitting on an airplane next to a total stranger, I'll end up taking with that person for hours.

PHILOSOPHY

As for me, I chose to serve the Lord.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently work for a missions organization and like most nonprofits, we don't have a big budget. Therefore, when we travel around the country we have to stay with friends, family, or couch surfers from this site. I love meeting new friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about this site back in 2009 while I was in Georgia. I ran into a girl in Atlanta, who is a couch surfer, and she told me about this site. She even invited me to crash on her couch.

Interests

I enjoy traveling to new places, camping, hiking, biking, volleyball, climbing, running, and working out, going on road trips, and being spontaneous. I also enjoy playing cards, settlers, and just hanging out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Here's the list of my top 5 movies:
(1) Braveheart
(2) Green Mile
(3) I Am Sam
(4) Pay It Forward
(5) Transformers

I'll listen to all types of music (including 80's music, country, pop, rock, oldies, and even an occasional rap song). However, for those people that know me best... they know I love to hear John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, James Blunt, Phil Collins, and a ton of Christian music singers like Third Day, Jenny Owens, Jennifer Knapp, Casting Crowns, Lifehouse, Chris Rice, Mark Schultz, Stephen Speaks, and many more.

My favorite books are the Bible, Quiet Strength, Case for Faith, and Wild At Heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went around the world for 11 months with a Christian organization called Adventures In Missions. The mission trip was called www.theworldrace.org. I left for this trip in August of 2009 and returned to the states in July of 2010. During those 11 months I traveled to Ireland, Romania, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Uganda, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. If you want to know more, check out www.pauliwanaga.theworldrace.org.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a computer teacher, so I can help others with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, HTML programming, video editing & production, Photoshop, and Sketchup. I was also a banker and can help companies with financial consulting. I currently work in the marketing department at Adventures In Missions, so I can help with marketing stuff too.
