ABOUT ME
I am living in Hua Hin, Sampran and sometimes Bangkok now, not Madrid, not Auckland anymore, will update the rest later.
Auckland: 0064211783705 Emergency requests: 0034622198260 . SMS preferred. Please read my profile before contacting me though. :) The next person who leaves a voice message in broken Spanish recorded on a busy street will probably simply get ignored! I haven't selected beginner as a joke. I really am just learning Spanish ! How do you think I am supposed to understand something even native speakers have problems understanding(I got voice messages where nobody could tell me what language that was :D)! I ONLY HOST PEOPLE WHO ARE REGISTERED WITH CS.(I write this because I received a few SMS like: "I saw your number on CS, but don't have a profile. Can I sleep at your place tonight anyways ?" I only might make an exception if you have a profile for example at Facebook.)
Oh, if you do an emergency request via phone, please also send a short req via CS, or a message, so that I can find you on CS.
See my old profile(See under friends) for more information about me.
I'll try to write everyone a ref who took the time to write one for me. Between hosting and working I just have to choose carefully what to do with the remaining time, sorry.
To add a bit more:
I am rather observant and usually note all the little things people do, which they assume nobody notices..
Also, you can talk about pretty much anything with me. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After CSers stole things multiple times I have gotten quite a bit more sceptical about taking in people.
I enjoy to host and meet many Couchsurfers. Apparently those time are over though. There seems to be an age barrier after which one doesn't receive requests anymore or only very few. So I am involuntarily not really participating much anymore, also having to pay for hosting people, doesn't really seem right.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started to do Couchsurfing in 2010 and I think I have had a broad palette of CS experiences so far. From the good to the bad. See other (surfing) profile for more information.
What reference do you write for someone who treats you well (even though it may be just a lie), just in order to get a good reference to be able to host women ? (I opted for no reference so far)
After my first 2 month I hosted 22 people in Madrid. Considering, that people normally stay for several days, this seems like quite a feat. I am more interested in quality than quantity though and thus have cut down on the hosting a bit.
Many of the surfers were first timers. Unfortunately most people don't seem to care about writing references.
Couchsurfers seem to have a magical ability to screw up all the nice plans you have for them. You prepare food..they have eaten already. You buy fruits..they live on a weird diet consisting of sweets and don't eat fruits.. There is an awesome event you can bring them to .. they arrive too late/have other plans already. In conclusion .. I have given up on nice surprises. :/
Interests
Learn as much as I can and meet interesting people.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saved a bee from drowning when I was a child. I travel(ed).
Teach, Learn, Share
I am well or at least decently versed in meditation, so can share and teach. Maybe we can teach each other our languages. I also have some life experience to share if anyone is interested in that.
I am generally interested in learning as much as I can, so no matter what kind of obscure skill or knowledge you possess, please share. :)
