Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly prefer rock (Blue October, Muse, Linkin Park, Rammstein, RHCP, Zakk Wylde, Asking Alexandria). However, I also enjoy Indie, Ukrainian folk music, and discovering local artists in the countries I travel to. Sometimes I also like to listen to Billie Eilish.
I prefer films that make me think and feel. Some of my favorites:
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Green Mile, Soul, Wonder, Captain Fantastic, The Little Prince, The Theory of Everything, Untouchable (1+1), WALL-E, Gran Torino, and Into the Wild, Edward Scissorhands, The Life of Chuck
Stephen King is my favorite writer. These days, I also look for "warm" books. Living in a country at war, there is enough sadness in the news, so I avoid tragic stories and choose literature that feels light and hopeful.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I quit my job and spent 6 months volunteering in an English-speaking environment without knowing a word of English. Through hitchhiking and Couchsurfing, I discovered that the world isn’t nearly as big or intimidating as I once thought. It’s actually quite small and full of kind people when you're brave enough to step out.
