My name is Olya and I'm from Russia! I lived in Magadan till I was 18 and now I'm studying at university in Saint-Petersburg. My future job is web & graphic designer and I'm fond of art and its history. So, I would like to visit galleries and museums in different countries to find out more about this sphere.
Also, sport is my hobby, I do almost all winter kinds of it including skiing, snowboarding, skating and skijoring. It's because I spent my childhood in the Far East of Russia where winter is lasting for 9 months :)
In the summer my family and I used to go camping to different picturesque places near my native town.
In addition, I did rhythmic gymnastics and became a Candidate Master of Sports.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I traveled with my family we always stayed at hotels and we had never contacts with locals. Now I can travel by myself and I'm convinced that only local people can give full description of the place you visit. It's eye-opening experience. Also, it's an excellent opportunity to practice language skills.

I usually listen to hip-hop music but I can enjoy almost all kinds of it.
As for films and books, I like thought-provoking ones. Usually I watch films based on biography of smb successful. And I often read classic of literature.

I can tell a lot about history of Far East of Russia and culture of its peoples.
Also, I can share my experience at drawing and designing.
