I'm calm, positive, and easygoing. I enjoy meeting new people, cooking, watching movies, and reading. And laughing. I can be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly!

I'm excited by natural beauty, amazing creepy-crawlies (especially bees !), delicious food, excellent writing, good songs, captivating stories (and most stories are), growing food, beautiful and/or thought-provoking art, well-written and -directed movies, trees, fungi, birds, stars, and most things biology-related.

For fun, I write, doodle, cook, garden, try to learn some new languages (slowly), and cuddle with cats (I'm allergic, but it's worth it). I recently started learning how to play the ukulele. Sometimes, I make great cookies.

I like listening to most things that aren't pop or popular country. Instrumental, folksy, classical and classic rock. Right now, I'm really enjoying the album Fairweather by Roger Roger, Gee Whiz This is a Lonely Town by Moriarty, and I've had Alt-J 's An Awesome Wave on repeat for about 2 years now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped beekeepers extract a bucketload (well, more like millions of pounds) of sweet, delicious honey. Yum!
