I am a 24 year old student from Amsterdam doing a master in mathematics. My friends sometimes describe me as warmhearted, smiling, generous and calm. I have a girlfriend who I love very much. I think I am spontaneous because I love meeting new people, but I like to be alone sometimes, too. Besides my studies I spend my time reading literature and the newspaper, doing sports such as running and swimming, and organising dinners and other events for several groups of friends. In summertime I love to travel because I want to see much of the world. I think one learns a lot from different experiences and different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I see at as the perfect way of travelling: it is social (get to know new people), saves money (compared to hostels) and it gives you an insight into the way of living of local people (instead of the way of living of other travellers).
