ABOUT ME

I'm passionate about surrounding myself with quality people, and embarking on memorable experiences. I like to cook, bicycle, hike, backpack, take photographs, and find reasons to laugh.

In 2003 - 2004, I did an "around-the-world" trip. I was fortunate enough to visit the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Ukraine, Russia, and travel overland from St. Petersburg to Istanbul through many former Soviet Republics. I've also been to Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru and Chile.

I've loved the experience of traveling so much that I've been imagining a time when I might live in another country. That time is here!

Since July 2012, I have lived in Bogota. It is a fabulous city. I can't say I know it as well as a true local, but I am happy to explore with you. At this point, I've visited some fabulous parts of the country and can advise you on your trip outside of the city as well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I may not be the best resource on cool things to do in Bogota, I can offer a twin bed, a large floor, and a separate bathroom to my guests. And, perhaps we can go explore Bogota together ;).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted a couple of times, and met people for coffee and outdoor activities when visiting their cities. I haven't done much in the way of hosting, but will be looking to change that once I am settled.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow - so many, it's hard to choose. Swimming with a whale shark in Honduras, paragliding in Argentina, sitting quietly at many a beautiful vista.
