Most of my adult life I've spent in Olympia, WA, plus a few stints in rural North Central Washington. I have focused on small-scale sustainable farming, with a particular interest in small dairy animals. I play stringed various stringed instruments and love to sing, both my own songs and raucous sing-alongs.

I have a medium sized, relatively well-behaved herding dog named Edie who goes with me everywhere. She can sleep in my truck if need be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This Spring I am taking a break from my life in Olympia, traveling around on a shoestring budge, living out of my truck, and seeing where the road takes me. I'm always happy to meet new people.

I'm not much of a movie/tv watcher, can't think of the last movie I watched, though I enjoy an occasional Wes Anderson movie, or an over-the-top muscial, and I'm a sucker for Downtown Abbey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fixed the head gasket on my 1981 corolla wagon. I was pretty amazed, anyway. Otherwise I'm not really much of a mechanic.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach music improvisation, and I have lots of stories about crazy farm adventures. I'm fascinated by draft animals, and would also love to learn to make tatoos!

What I Can Share with Hosts
