I decided that I need to make the most out of exploring the world during my university days. Being on Couchsurf is my first step to this adventure that I am embarking on. I am new to couchsurfing but I am very adaptable to my environment. While I may be a little introverted, I open up easily once I get to know you after a short while. I would identify myself as a realistic perfectionist? I strive for 100% but yet at a realistic manner. Oh I have a INFJ personality if you are into those personality tests.

Trying it out and experience making friends from overseas! Thought it be a good starting platform for me to really see the world.

Interests

I am a 'science' person and particularly I am interested in chemistry as a science discipline. Aside academics, I love to do mid- and long-distance running! My reason for running is to outdo myself, running my own race which I translate to my approach in life: Running my own race, my path and my choice. I started running a few years ago so I have been taking part in corporate organised event races for quite a while. I would call myself a recreational runner who tries to balance both academics (still a student!) and my hobbies at the same time.

As I am on this journey to explore the world and expand my horizons, I got into learning photography. Not aspiring to be some professional photographer, but instead take pictures which I can recall the senses and experiences I gained throughout my life journey when I look back in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am quite well-balanced when it comes to my type of music. As I am bilingual, I listen to both english songs (like Backstreet Boys, OneRepublic, The Fray, etc) and mandarin pop (Jay Chou, etc). As i was exposed to band music in my school days, I still have a thing for band music, though less frequently now. I tend to prefer melodramatic music somehow, maybe it got influenced from my perspective of life.

Movies: Too many to be listed, perhaps movies like Xmen, Hunger Games, Divergent, Marvel movies (Avengers, Captain America, Guardians of Galaxy)

Books: Sadly I don't have a thing for books. However, i am always looking forward to story-telling!

I believe a lot in commitment. It's either you don't commit or you give a 100% percent of what you can give.

At the end of the day, if things don't turn out the way they are, as long as you can touch your heart and tell yourself that you did best, then you have accounted for yourself.

No matter what you do, make sure you have the passion for it. Otherwise, it's just enduring a long-lasting pain.
