About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Buy some lamps. Establish a regular laundry schedule. Complete my degree.

ABOUT ME

I'm a student at the University of York, I study PPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics), although I really like graphic design and am trying to find a career that can incorporate the two. I like cooking a lot, and I lurch between wishing I was retired and wishing I was on a 2-year round the world backpacking trip. I have two cats at home in London, and I miss them quite a bit. I have a very fast metabolism, but I always think I should be doing more exercise. I don't drink coffee, but there is often a rather large pot of tea on the go, which I think is a bit hypocritical.

PHILOSOPHY

Not filling out personal philosophy boxes on the Internet. Also being nice to people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of films; Brazil, Lawrence of Arabia, 2001: A Space Odyssey, North by Northwest, Gravity, etc. but I could never list them all here. I have so much reading at University I haven't read a novel in 2 years, but I do like popular histories and P.G. Wodehouse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once climbed Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh just before sunrise, and watched the light slowly stream through the hills of the City; one of the most beautiful sights in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

When making cheese on toast, if you have a toaster, put two slices of bread together into one slot on the toaster. This toasts the outsides, and keeps the middle nice and fresh. Then, load it up with toppings, and stick it under the grill. Takes half the time!
