About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list.

ABOUT ME

I've just moved to Lund to start my master's degree in International Development and am loving living in Sweden so far. It's also the first time I have been able to host, so I am really looking forward to that, after surfing with so many people.

I am someone who has always been interested in other cultures and i always try to talk to locals as much as possible on my travels which is why i think couchsurfing is such a great thing to use.

I am someone who likes to see the best in things, because when you travel things can go wrong sometimes and having a positive attitude can go a long way. I'm hoping to meet a lot of amazing people on my couchsurfing journey.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone is equal, not matter what age, race, gender or sexual preference. We're all humans and we are all the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately i haven't been able to host anyone yet but it's something that i plan to do in the future. Currently i have only been able to surf and so far have had such amazing experiences from it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had so many great experiences in my short time of using couchsurfing. It is so interesting just learning from the locals. You get such a better understanding of the country through couchsurfing, it creates such a unique international network.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests with travelling being number one on my list. I spend most of my time researching trips that i will probably never go on. I love to experience new cultures and to just explore. I am also interested in just about any sport there is. I spend most of my time watching sport. I also read a lot, it's how i spent the majority of my childhood. Other than that i really enjoy photography and writing and usually end up writing a blog about my travels

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Little Miss Sunshine, Scott Pilgram Vs the World, Toy Story, The lion King,Gran Torino, The Dark knight, any Harry Potter movie, the social network, the motorcycle diaries, the Damned united, the way. I mainly like quirky comedies and dramas but i watch all sorts of movies.

TV shows: Arrested development, suits, hannibal, mad men

Books: The reluctant fundamentalist, the road, The Road, Lord of the rings trilogy, Harry Potter,To kill a mockingbird, The great Railway Bazaar, a thousand splendid suns, a carpet ride through Khiva.Reading took up a large chunk of my childhood and i still cherish reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing the trans Siberian was one of my favourite travelling experiences. One on part of my trip I was in a compartment with three Russian grandmothers who didn't speak English. We somehow managed to communicate, play cards, and share meals together. It showed me that there are ways to communicate without speaking the same language.

Another defining moment in my travels was a small thing but nonetheless a rewarding experience. I had just arrived in South Africa and even though it was early morning everyone was getting into the spirit of the world cup. Bus drivers were blowing their vuvuzela's out of the side of the bus. It was just an amazing time to be in the country. Everyone was enjoying themselves. It was the best atmosphere that i have ever been in.

Teach, Learn, Share

How can i teach you? Well i can tell you all about Australia and all our strange slang words and what it's like to live down under. I'm happy to share anything that you may be interested in and i hope to gain a better view of other peoples cultures. I have a wide range of interests so i'm sure there will be something that i can teach you. Possible some very basic Japanese, if i still remember any.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well i can share travel stories of course and maybe some language practice. Other than that, a place to stay.
