ABOUT ME
I am an easy-going, relaxed and find it easy to get along with people of all backgrounds, thanks to my culturally diverse upbringing; my mother is Indonesian and my father is British. In my home, good people and company are always welcome!
PHILOSOPHY
Live through your passions. And that is exactly what I do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first couchsurfing experience in Istanbul in november, and it was awesome! I think the best part of couchsurfing is having a local who can show you around the city so you don't spend unnecessary time wandering around. I definitely want to have more experiences!
Interests
The thing I am passionate about in my life is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I have been training for over 4 years and currently teach at Gracie Barra in Bristol. I am also a Dating Coach, and travel around the country giving consultations and teaching on seminars. Martial Arts and Dating Coaching are very connected with general self-improvement and one part of self-improvement which I want to delve deeper into is travelling, which is why I'm here!

Music, Movies, and Books
The books I like to read are all pretty much about self-improvement. Recently I finished reading The Way of the Superior Man, and am currently reading The Art of Learning. Books like these which provoke deep and philosophical thoughts are books that intrigue me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I vividly remember the day when my dad won the BJJ European Championship in his age and weight category this January in Lisbon. It was an awesome fight - my dad against a monster of a man! He was at least 6"4 and lean and muscular the way every top level athlete is. Against my dad, who is a man that is in relatively good shape... i guess... going bald and doing everything he can to recapture his youth, as was reflected when he bought a new sports car!
The fight didn't last long, with my dad's opponent quickly taking him down and pinning him. Luckily, he was skilled enough to make some space between them, before using a beautifully simple technique to set up the Triangle Choke. When he got the tap, I rose to my feet with tears in my eyes screaming. It was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
My greatest skills include how to handle yourself in a heated situation, and how to handle yourself in any given social situation.
