About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible while I still have long university holidays to enjoy!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 23 year old European Studies student at King's College London. This is a degree programme comprising International Relations, History and French. When I graduate, my goal is to work for UNICEF, and I spend my summers working on projects that can contribute to this objective. In summer 2009 I taught for a British NGO in Madagascar and in summer 2010 I travelled around the Middle East.
Having lived in France for two years prior to the beginning of my degree course, I speak French, and take a vibrant interest in French culture. The two month period that I spent travelling around the Middle East in 2010 has also inspired an interest in the Arabic language and culture. It is very much my hope to visit Latin America and complete some NGO work there at some point in the near future. I would also love to visit Japan.

Beyond travelling and my studies, I love to play sport, especially running and football. I also like to read about history whenever possible and listen to music of all genres.

PHILOSOPHY

I firmly believe that it is impossible to truly know your tastes and beliefs until you abstract yourself from yourself and all that you are familiar with. This is why I see travelling as such an important aspect, if not the most important in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am perfectly willing to host people wishing to visit the Oxford and London areas of England whenever I am in the country and to assist them in finding free accommodation when I am out of it. From time to time I would also like to couchsurf myself.
