ABOUT ME

I´m doing a backpack tour in America from 21.1.2014 till 21.2.14

I live in a small Village near Frankfurt, there I'm a member of the volunteering Firefighters and I coach the kids of the badminton team of our city. I like it to be outside in the garden and build new things of wood or stone. In autum I want to start a appreanceship as a landscaper in Sipplingen. This is a small city near the 'Bodensee' in Germany. It's about 30 kilometer away from the Swiss. Now a want to enjoy the time till September and want to meet new people and cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I love it to be outside, to do something with my hands. That's the reason why I want to do a apprenticeship as a landscaper in Germany. I think in Germany the word landscaper is used a bit different than in the USA ;) In Germany landscapers make the whole gardens of people. They're building the terrace with stone or wood, building small walls to retain the downgrade, and they are competed for the whole plants ;)
I don't want to stay the day in a room in front of a computer, I want to build something new with my hands.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet so as many people as possible and their cultures. In Germany I'm living in a small village but here in the USA I'm feeling like I could meet the whole world :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience in Gainesville and it was so nice. Vijaya was such a welcoming host, we talked about our cultures, couchsurfing, my trip, his experice and he gave me so many tips :) I'm so thankful. Decided to continue my trip to Houston with couchsurfing ;)

Tallahassee was also really nice.Justin showed me the touristic sights and some that hasn't a tourist ever seen I think. Which tourist in Tallahassee has ever seen a small show in a garage ? :) Thank you!

After Tallahassee I've travelled to Panama City. Ashley took me to her favorite bar which looked exactly like the American bar in the European movies, lots of tvs, billardtables, darts and there was karaoke ;) too bad that I'm only 20 and couldn't taste the American beer :(. Had also a great time with my coke ;)

And now I'm in Fort Walton Beach. The weather could be better but it's still amazing. Cat is such a lovely woman, I'm feeling like I'm at home :)

I've just a small experience yet, but I've already met so many nice people and cultures :) I love couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch nearly everything, hear everything and read everything. There's nothing I really hate. But I prefer action and horror movies, rock and chart music (went to Rock am Ring 2 years ago - biggest German rock festival with Metallica, Linkin Park and Die toten Hosen as headliners ) and I like books that mesmerize me so much that I can't stop reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I could meet one star, it would be Usain Bolt. I was in the stadium 2009 in Berlin, when he ran a new world record over 100m. That was so amazing!
