About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm taking some time out of work after living in London for 6 years
ABOUT ME
Summer 2013 update: After having missed the 2012 summer season I am making 2013 my summer of travelling starting in Spain in May and then see wherever the road takes me. The plan is not to have a plan. :) I'm sure I will do some hitchhiking on the way. Tip of the year... always have a big fat marker pen with you...you can get them from a one pound shop. :)
I think alot. Dream alot. My folks moved to the UK from Germany before I was born, but I have a stronger feeling of 'belonging' when I'm there.
I tend to drift a bit, especially when I'm travelling...just moving from one place to the other. I spent several months casually studying art at various art schools in India, and that was much better. I had a sense of purpose. The actually experiencing, or even taking part in other peoples lives is so much better than just 'travelling'.
This is bad, I know but, I'm teaching myself to program - there, I said it.
PHILOSOPHY
you're never too old to be childish.
the world is my playground.
Honesty before flattery - you can disagree with me, and that's fine.
The two most important skills you need in life:
1. finding something to do when there's nothing to do.
2. being able to make friends quickly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a member of couchsurfing for a while, but due to work I haven't been able to get that involved. Now I've taken some time out to do some travelling and work on a couple of personal projects so I'm much more free than I was.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
made the 'free hugs' meeting in London Jan 08, and again in March... very good. I've been to several camps in Germany.
I also meet up with other CS'ers when they're in the area.
