Newbie Traveller trying to figure this out.
At least I’ve found out that connecting with local people is the best way to travel. I wish for every place I go to that it will have some personality in some way, and mostly you’ll find that with other people.

To meet new people, add another perspective to my travels and make things more interesting. Even if a host doesn’t want to hang out it just feels like a more genuine stay.
(Travelling solo is really hard when it’s the first time I’m just trying to make it better)

Volunteering with teaching children about interculturality in Zagreb for 2 months during and ESC project. The cultural exchange and connection between us volunteers, the kids, the NGO we were with and the locals is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before!
