Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore, experience, learn, share, and feel alive.
ABOUT ME
I am a 26-year old American who finished serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana last year. I have spent time traveling in North America, Europe, Africa, and South America. I got my Bachelor of Science degree from Univ. of Michigan in Environmental Science with a specialization in conservation biology. As a Peace Corps volunteer, I worked as an agricultural advisor to local farmers who were primarily growing cashew, yam, cassava, etc.
I am passionate about outdoor activities, and really enjoy backpacking excursions. I am athletic, and my favorite sport is ultimate frisbee. I love animals, and have an interest in sustainable/organic farming. After leaving Ghana, I spent 3 months backpacking in South America. While traveling, I am not only interested in having new adventures and sightseeing, but really getting to know a place and its culture. For me, traveling is a way to experience different parts of the world in a way that I can actively participate in what is going on around me. I try to always keep a positive attitude and a good sense of humor wherever I go.
My plan now is to do a two month roadtrip across the US with my boyfriend, and then we are moving to Australia for a year with a Work and Holiday visa.
PHILOSOPHY
The purpose of life is to experience as much as you can, have as much fun as you can, give back as much as you can, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Music, Movies, and Books
In regards to music, I enjoy indie, folk, and electronic. I enjoy all types of books and movies. I love new recommendations in any of these categories!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I camped for several nights in Patagonia with no tent or shelter, and definitely came out of it a bit tougher (and wiser, tents are a wonderful investment).
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share about my life in the Peace Corps or my other travels, how to play ultimate frisbee, any of my basic cooking skills, or any other random skills I possess. I love to learn new skills, I would like to learn Spanish, and I want to learn anything I can about the culture of the places I visit, and about the people who I meet along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share fun stories, good times, I am a very clean person and will always contribute to any cooking, cleaning, or chores while I am a guest in someone's home.
