About Me
Hello!
I'm a French girl that loves traveling and meeting new people.
Always eager to discover new places, I like to explore a city through the eyes of locals. I left my lovely city of La Rochelle (France) when I was 17 to take a plane that brought me in the middle of Taipei (Taiwan). I spent a year there, living the best experiences of my life and meeting amazing new people that still today are a part of my life. This early expatriation taught me what I wanted to do in life: keep travelling, sharing with locals and work in an international environment.
I worked at a publisher doing books and board games for 3 years (time flies so fast), and I lived in France at the border with Germany and beautiful Switzerland. I have lived in Barcelona (super amazing times, sun and sangria everyday), then I moved to Helsinki (even better than Barcelona, Molkki and snow everyday!) and then moved to Basel (actually 50m away from Basel).
I then spent nearly a year traveling through South America.. What an incredible adventure it was! 🥳
Now I'm back in France and studying Sustainable development as I plan on doing my best to make this world a little better 🌍
Happy travels and encounters!
Oli
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always hosted a lot of friends, and I really love it.
I like to travel like crazy, but I especially enjoy it when I'm with friends, locals that enhance the experience. I intend to meet new people, discover new places, and host people that would like to visit France or Switzerland!
Also, I have a curious mind and strongly believe that what makes the best of a trip if actually the people you meet and what you learn from them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movie (classic) : Into the wild
Music: I like everything, Spotify is always on at home
Books: So many! Murakami, Albert Cohen, Arto Pasilinna, the list is too long!
I love reading, there are books in every room in my house. I like to pick random movies with and see if it's a good surprise or not :)
One thing I must say about me, is that I sing ALL THE TIME. Not a joke. Lucky for my friends/colleagues my voice is actually not that bad. I just love music, and I usually do not realize that I'm singing when I'm singing. And it's even better when friends join me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left France when I was 17 to spend a year in Taiwan, alone.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking, and learning new recipes. Everywhere I went, I exchanged Grandma's recipes with locals. Favorite recipe that I learned: Sangria and Hungarian soup!
As I said, I can bring books, games (I work in the game industry), we can go out and take pictures, compose some amazing songs :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hear all about their experiences! and help my hosts for their daily routine (Cleaning, cooking etc)
We all have so many things to share, I learned so much from the people that I have met already, can't wait to meet the next ones :)
