Hi! My name is Olivia, I'm 24 years old and have lived in Australia my entire life. Whilst I love living here and feel incredibly privileged to have been born in such a wonderful country, I am itching to explore more of this vast and fascinating globe! I've embarked on two big trips so far, the first to the USA and Canada in 2013 then an immersive and life changing trip around South and Central America late last year. In between this I have spent a couple weeks in stunning Fiji (Bula!) and my first experience overseas was a school trip to New Zealand in grade 11.

My primary goal at this point in my life is self development and travel. I have become tired of the monotony a 9-5 working life brings and my mind, body and soul craves new experiences and new people. I am on a quest for knowledge and self discovery, driven by a strong desire to help others and challenge myself. Further to this, I am a huge animal/nature lover and feel at my happiest when I can be around them thus it is important to me to incorporate both in my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to couch surf as a way to meet new and interesting people on my next big trip to Europe in August/September of this year. I want to truly get to know the countries I'll be visiting and hope to make some lifelong friends along the way. Also if you have any pets, particular a Dog, all the better! I'm known as a bit of a "crazy dog lady" to just about anyone that knows me and relish in any opportunity to hang out with them as I cannot own one in the apartment I live in presently.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I have a wide taste in music though I would have to say RnB (particularly pertaining to the 90s/early 00s), rap and dance music is my goto. Also a big fan of funk, hardcore and alternative rock.
Movies - my all time favourite Director is the one and only Quentin Tarantino so anything he makes I adore. I have also always been a fan of horror, especially from the 80s and anything with Zombies I will watch. I'm also a sucker for a documentary and enjoy films/TV that are based more in the real world than fantasy.
Books - I need to read more, I say that all too often. Similar to my movie/TV tastes, I prefer fact over fiction and gravitate towards auto biographical novels and crime.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, I could spend paragraphs discussing music/movies/books as they have always been a large part of my identity.
