About Me

PLEASE read over the info about my home before requesting to crash as it may not suit everyone! I'll do my best to accommodate you but everyone is different!

Hi! I'm Olivia, and I live with my two cats in NYC's East Village. I work at Weill Cornell Medicine at the moment researching Alzheimer's Disease prevention, but I hope to go back to school for philosophy to become a bioethicist. My work also blurs the boundaries between art and science, the polarization of which I wholly reject and see as a disservice.

I also love to meet new people, share stories, read, write, play music (electric bass and guitar + cello), cook (though my kitchen is tiny), skateboard, go out dancing, see films, hike, ski, be outside/in nature, have a spliff and a beer with friends...uhhhh I could go on but I love to LEARN anything from anyone!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to share unique experiences and learn new things from interesting folks anywhere possible! I love when paths cross unexpectedly and I am looking for more of that with couchsurfing. I hop around a bit and I know people come to NYC, where I live, all the time, so this has a very practical bend for me as well. Teach me new things about what you love or anything at all :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in New Zealand for 9 months had a great impact on me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to skateboard (basics, no crazy tricks sorry but I'd love to learn some!), play bass, play guitar, play cello, cook a mean pasta sauce, steak, pizza, or baked good, navigate NYC, improve your memory/cognition.....

I want to learn ANYTHING! But I also want to improve at things I already can do (play music, skate, write) - I love to see others' methods and pick their brains.

I can share my couch + skateboards, instruments, cooking utensils, Xbox (lol)

What I Can Share with Hosts
