About Me

Im a cultural anthropology student in London, and even though I am English by nationality I spent most of my life living in Lisbon, Portugal. I'm passionate about languages and music, to me languages are kind of like music because they all have their unique sound and structure. I'm going into the field of social work in September, working with children and families because I want to help people feel empowered, and to understand and try to better the structures we live within in whichever way I can, recently I became interested in politics because of my university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's an amazing platform, as someone on a budget it helps in that way, but more importantly to meet people and have a more authentic experience of the country I visit. It feels like authentic and relaxed way to travel, I've enjoyed it every time I've done it so far because it makes the experience of travelling more memorable.

By the way I only have one host review on here, but I've actully couchsurfed three times and all great experiences, it's just that it was done through my boyfriend's account so they weren't able to review me too unfortunately

Interests

I always played music since I was 6, but recently started learning and composing on the harp which has become my passion, I hope to continue forever and to record my songs. I'm interested in psychology and other mysterious things. Interested in people, culture and languages. I can tell you about anthropology and also about alternative pedagogies for teaching young children. The rest is quite self-explanatory, I like the simple pleasures in life and also like to go out of my comfort zone sometimes.
