We are a curious couple, who, as many others our age, have been in school for 14 of our 20 years of life. Before we continue learning through reading and studying we want to travel and experience.

We are very interested in culture and the arts, both in literature and music. Last year Olivia studied creative writing while Adam finished his upper secondary studies in music. We both love reading and discussing books and texts.

We are positive and like both eating and cooking vegetarian food. Other things we enjoy are skiing, falling asleep on beaches, hosting dinners for friends and day-trips.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

To us traveling is getting to know new cultures and persons as much as it is experiencing new places. Couchsurfing enables us to do that 24/7 - instead of having to stay, by ourselves, in a hotel room (which almost always looks the same wherever you go). We think it is as interesting, as it is important, to meet and talk with people from different parts of the globe. Through Couchsurfing we get to do that both at home and when traveling.

Música, películas y libros

Some of Olivias favorite authors are Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, Svetlana Aleksijevitj, Bodil Malmsten, Roxane Gray and Jonas Hassen Khemiri. Some of Adams Hermann Hesse, Karl Ove Knausgård and Lena Andersson.

When it comes to music Olivia likes alternative music, gospel, jazz (to some extent), the Knowles sisters and a lot of great swedish music which I promise to show to everyone who asks. Adam is in to Classical, Jazz and Alternative (Bon Iver, Dirty Projectors and Amen Dunes to name a few).

When it comes to movies we like movies which have powerful female characters (!!!) and movies which are unpredictable. As long as the problem and it’s solution is not comprehensible during the first five minutes we like it.

Olivia had front row tickets at Beyoncé’s concert in Copenhagen this summer and Adam climbed Eyjafjallajökull six months after it’s eruption in 2010.

Beside literature, music and art we are also very interested in understanding other cultures. We love discussing books, music and the different ways of life that cities and countries have.
