About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm easy going with a good sense of humour. I can go with the flow, but am a pretty organized person. I'm a little silly and eccentric, but easy to get along with. I enjoy being with smaller groups of people, as opposed to large groups. I'm a good listener and love a good nap--from the 20 minute power, to the 2 hr power, I don't discriminate!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't sweat the small stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, just been a roommate to a host--met a couple cool surfers and am eager to get more involved in the community.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests, but the few that are my true passions are cooking/baking, playing any sport, listening to classic rock and rap music, reading, watching movies and sitcoms. I spend my time at work with some funny hipsters, hanging out with my roommates, friends and family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Star Wars series, John Hughes--cliche for a reason, Coen brothers, 90s chick flicks, anything with Jim Carrey, The Matrix.
Music: Classic rock (emphasis on the Canadians--Guess Who, April Wine), rap (Eminem, Kanye, Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac), pop, alt, pretty much anything--except heavy metal.
Books: I'll read anything that comes highly recommended--except romance or mystery/thrillers. Favourites include Coupland, Harry Potter, Feminist theory/narrative, cookbooks, contemp. American lit, children's books.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm no culinary school grad but I'm decent with a knife and passionate about food. I watch a lot of the food network and read a lot of cookbooks so I can teach some cool cooking and baking techniques! I'm also athletic and can teach you how to throw a softball or shoot a free throw.
Learn: To play the drums! The art of butchery. How to crochet or knit.
