About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Laugh... Learn... Grow... Explore... and remember to stop and breathe in the midst of it all.
ABOUT ME
I am a vegan, sub-free Buddhist student who loves photography and cooking.
Or maybe a photographing, studying, sub-free vegan-cooking Buddhist.
Or, just a student of the world... a traveler... a learner. I don't like labels much.
I love sharing stories and experiences, learning about different kinds of spirituality, discovering new music, and creating new vegan dishes. I love walking and biking, especially with my camera slung over my shoulder. And I also enjoy just hanging out!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in student housing when I'm at school, and I'll be traveling for a while after I graduate. I'm sorry I can't offer a couch yet! I will someday ;-)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was in 2008. My friends and I spent a week in London before meeting the rest of our study abroad companions. We stayed in a little apartment where we cooked lentils and rice, played Mario Cart, and met some really great people.
Then, last summer (2009), I couchsurfed my way through the Bay Area! It was such a wonderful experience to spend time with my great hosts-- Andrew, Katie and Nick, and Nithin. Couchsurfing made my travels so much more warm and meaningful and exciting. It was a really great part of my trip and I hope to run into you all again someday! :-)
Interests
things that make me happy: prayer flags, cherry blossoms, photography, my wonderful friends, cooking without a recipe, laying on the grass, my cats, hugs, chai, arugula, listening to music, prayer wheels, silhouetted trees, indian clothes, turquoise, lotus flowers, singing bowls, my mala, mate, writing letters, summer peaches, flannel, springtime, riding my bike, finishing a book, cuddling, travel, naps, rays of sunlight through the clouds, sunsets, sweaters, socks with toes, nutritional yeast, vegan baking, using beautiful language, compassion, cows, giving gifts, finishing a book, the taste of freshly fallen snow, riding my bike home on warm spring nights.
