I'm an Australian student who has been studying in the US for the past five months and looking to explore alllll of the country while I have the chance (this may be difficult as I am only here until July ) I'm a pretty easy going person and love exploring new things, anything unexpected/accidental usually ends up being the best experiences :)

Couchsurfing seems like a great way to explore new places in a unique way as well as meet great people from all around the world ! I love doing all the touristy things but sometimes it's more fun to get to know the people who live around the world as well as exploring the sites :)

I love going to bars or grabbing coffee with friends and wandering around new cities and places. Also a huge fan of podcasts, usually Aussie ones that no one has heard, but always willing to give you suggestions :)

Music: One of those annoying people who says they like everything but some of my fave music at the moment is James Blake, beyonce, kendrick Lamar, j cole, chance the rapper, Alabama shakes, Courtney Barnett, Mikhael paskalev, the cat empire, group love and lots of obscure indie Aussie bands.
Movies: I'd generally prefer to watch TV over a movie (there is so much great TV), my fave shows include Broad City, Veep, Orange is the new Black, Orphan Black, Silicon Valley, Playing House :) and scrolling through Netflix trying to decide what to watch before falling asleep after rewatching friends for the billionth time.
Books: I will probably read anything from fiction to cultural studies essays

Going to the top of the Swiss alps was on of the most surreal and beautiful experiences I have ever had in my life. My friend and I tried to pick up a piece of ice almost larger than us and possibly laughed harder than I ever have in my life-it was most likely the altitude but I prefer to remember it as some classic comedy.

I study International relations and gender studies which is super interesting but sometimes hard to find practical ways to apply all that knowledge. Kind of want to change the world so any suggestions on how to do that are welcome :)
