About Me

Irish, creative, curious — and yes, I’ve had this Couchsurfing account for 18 years. I used to host a lot back then, disappeared into life, and now I’m back again while living in China.

I’m currently based in Xiamen for a 4-month artist residency, working across fashion, psychology, storytelling, and community projects. My life tends to move between creative work, travel, and building things with people — and I’m usually planning my next trip before I’ve finished the current one.

I love culture, craft, fashion, food, and conversations that go from deep to completely ridiculous. I’m warm, independent, and quite intuitive with people — I care a lot about energy, respect, and feeling comfortable in a space.

PHILOSOPHY

live life to the max - experience and love as much as u can along the way!! Kindness is everything, food is the way to anyone’s heart!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to host a lot when I first joined Couchsurfing years ago, and I’m coming back to it now while living in China.

At the moment, I’m mainly hosting in Xiamen and also open to meeting people when I travel around. I really enjoy the social side of Couchsurfing — sharing space, conversations, food, and local experiences.

Some of my best travel memories have come from the people I’ve met through Couchsurfing, and I’m still in touch with a few of them years later.

Drove in Vietnam, that was an experience !!! ….. this was from 18 years ago.,,, so much had happened since then! I’ll catch you up when we meet!

Teach, Learn, Share

love conversation , anything from deep and meaningful to light and completely random. I’m open to talking about big topics like politics, religion, identity, or just everyday life, depending on the person and the moment.

I’m happy to share about Ireland, my travels, and the work I’m doing here in Xiamen around fashion, community, and storytelling. I’m especially interested in self-expression through clothing like how we feel in what we wear, and how heritage and tradition can be carried forward as we innovate.

I also just enjoy simple things, I’m a pretty grounded person who loves chatting, sharing food, exploring, or giving each other space when needed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a spare room in my apartment in Xiamen and I’m open to hosting while I’m here.

The vibe is calm, creative, and respectful — not a party house. It’s more about sharing space, chatting, exploring the city, or doing your own thing comfortably.

In general, I like things to feel easy and natural. I’m someone who values direct communication, good energy, and mutual respect. I’m clean, considerate, and I treat people’s spaces properly — and I appreciate the same in return.

I’m happy to cook, share food, or just hang out — but I also respect alone time and personal space. Sometimes I’m social, sometimes I’m working or recharging, so being able to read the room is important.

I get on best with people who are open-minded, easy-going, and self-aware.

If you’re staying, send a proper message about yourself and your plans — I don’t accept copy-paste requests.
