Hello. I am a mom of two and I currently live in Atlanta, GA. I have travel and lived in various place in the United States to include Dallas, Texas; Oakland & Berkley, California; Seattle, Washington; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Tampa & Pensacola, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; and Washington District Columbia. I have also traveled to Puerto Rico, Tokyo, Manila, Vienna, Paris, Johannesburg, KwaZulu- Natal (KZN), Istanbul, Pretoria, Soweto, and various other countries while serving in the US Navy. I am a International Psychologist, clinical therapist and human ans civil rights activist.

I am on couchsurfing because I love to travel and meet new people. I prefer to stay in the community rather then a hotel so that I can have first hand experience of the community and the culture. I like to travel off the beaten path, and really learn about the culture and community outside of "tourist" attractions. I also like to build relationships and make life long friendships around the world! I have had two successful couchsurfing experiences (one unsuccessful which lead to us not staying with the host, but thats another story for another day...lol) and have truly gained lifelong friendship. I mean really, I talk to each of them about once a week!

One amazing thing Im doing is getting my doctorate degree. It may not be that amazing to many, but I am the first in my family to not only get a college degree, but a Doctorate!
