ABOUT ME

Born in Illinois, raised in Oklahoma, stationed in Florida and living the dream.
I'm twenty-three years young with a heart for nature and travel. I come from quite a large family and now that I'm in the military and gained an even larger one- I'm open to meet new people whether it be by travel or opening my home up to them.

I try to live with an open mind and a loving heart.

One of my new favorite quotes by F. Scott Fitzgerald almost perfectly sums up how I've been feeling lately: "I want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow. I want to live where things happen on a big scale."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hosting- I treat every guest like they're a family member coming to visit and that they have the respect and care they deserve. I try to promote couch surfing as much as possible. So many people my age should be getting out there and traveling. Couchsurfing is an amazing way to travel cheaply and get to know people from other cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've hosted twice and I've been hosted by two surfers during my big trip to Europe. I have nothing but good memories and experiences.

I'm a sucker for British period pieces as well as anything from the fantasy genre.
Top 5 movies- Forrest Gump, Harry Potter, Love Actually, About Time and Sound of Music.
My favorite book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and I've read it about eight times- finding something new to love about it every time.
As far as music goes I'll listen to anything except rap. You'll see me put John Mayer, Ed Sheeran or country on quite a bit.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Other than my amazing time in Europe I would have to say it was the flight back from Germany. I flew back on a military jet with a crew from my base and they let me fly in the cockpit with full head set and gear. Experiencing take off/ landing from that perspective was so much fun and the view was breathtaking- the curve of the earth and the reflection of the setting sun on the water.

I have so many things to learn I couldn't begin to think what I could teach others. Maybe acceptance. But I think anyone willing to open up their home or be welcomed into another's is pretty accepting already.
