ABOUT ME

I grew up and still live in London. Amongst other things I have always had a desire to travel - to see, be inspired and learn from other cultures and environments. Other things about me...hmmm... I'm a Libra so I'm very indecisive (no, really), I'm a perfectionist... and I love beautiful things - beautiful places, food, wine and people. I'm happiest when the sun is shining and I can see the ocean.

PHILOSOPHY

I hope to fill my life with enriching experiences and surround myself with people whom I can learn and grow from (and with). I'm happy when I feel I'm doing something worthwhile, even if that's just making someone else smile. Honesty and humility are beautiful qualities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new so not a lot to write yet... I'm soon to go to South America for 6 months hence my foray into this community. I'm hoping to meet some interesting and welcoming people while on my travels, and in the future repay the favour.

Interessi

I don't do it enough but I like to draw. I did art at school and my family is very artistic. I like to dance. I used to take lessons but now it's just when I go out. I love a good party which to me is only really good when people are dancing ;) I also like to cook - but not with recipes - I like to experiment and make things up as I go. I like to read, ideally on the beach (not sci-fi or fantasy though - I guess I'm more into real life relationships and experiences). I enjoy walking around new places and discovering interesting architecture or just people-watching. I love when I stumble upon an interesting restaurant, cafe or coffee place. I love talking and laughing with friends over a bottle of wine and losing track of time because we're having such a good time. I like to discover things about people that inspire me to look at the world in a different way.

Musica, film e libri

I like a lot of different music - it depends on my mood - if I'm out then something to dance to...if you can move to it I like it ;) If you looked at my itunes however you'd find mostly Beyonce, Shakira and Rihanna - so perhaps that's a true reflection of my taste! For listening at home it's usually something more mellow and moody like John Mayer, Jose Gonzalez, Mumford & Sons or Adele. Books and movies...as I said, not sci-fi or fantasy (I could not sit through/read Star Wars, Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, thanks...please don't make me). Favourite books include 1984, Lord of the Flies, To Kill a Mockingbird, Birdsong... Some of my favourite movies - Shawshank Redemption, A Time To Kill, Erin Brockovich, The Constant Gardener... I guess the recurring theme here is a fight for justice... hmmm..never thought about that before...
