Couchsurfing is not just a platform to hang out with locals for free, its a platform where you can make new friends and spend with them a lovely time! As a local i would show you with pleasure around and telling you stories about places. As i am a big fan of history, I would definetly tell you more about my homeplace and showing you around, till to my favourite secret places. You can get any recommendations of the region and all for free :-)
