Hello! I'm Ollie, a 28 year old male from the USA who loves exploring the outdoors and embarking on spontaneous adventures. I love meeting new people, sharing new experiences, and trying new things. When I'm in a city, I love to explore by bike, dance at a concert, or check out natural history or science museum. My favorite genre is psychedelic rock, but I can appreciate most types of music. When exploring the outdoors, I love to backpack, whether that be by foot, bike, kayak, or skis.

Currently, I am studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark and I'm hoping to travel around the Scandinavian countries while I am here. Back in the USA, I most recently lived in the Pacific Northwest in my camper van while I attended graduate school for transportation engineering in Seattle, WA. All in all, I am a down to earth person who loves to share new experiences with new and old friends, whether that be over a meal, campfire, swimming session, or whatever comes our way. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couch surfing because I would love to get a more engrained experience with the places I travel to. Staying at hostels is nice, but for me, it can be a bit repetitive over time. I'd rather learn more about the culture of the people and the place that I am traveling to. Since I will only be in Europe until April, I am hoping to experience and learn as much as I can between now and then. One of the ways I hope to do so is by trying to couch surf more frequently so I can get a more complete experience. In general, I'd rather make one close friend then twenty surface level relationships.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Psychedelic rock (neo and classic) is my favorite genre. Some of my favorite artists are King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, GOAT, Ween, Grateful Dead, The Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Doors, and All Them Witches. I also love international music so would love to hear more about your favorite bands from your country or region. For me, sharing music is a great way to deepen relationships with my friends so I would love exchange music if you are a fan.

Movies: I'm not a big movie buff but my favorite movie that I have seen recently is Naked Lunch
