About Me

Enjoy every single moment as much as I can

I'm from Bogota, Colombia and I originally moved to New York in July 2009. I am presently studying a Master. I find aggressively pursuing my dreams to be the stuff of life. I'm a comfortable, friendly person who enjoys meeting new people and the pleasant conversations we have. I'm looking forward to meeting people from diverse backgrounds while couchsurfing and sharing our stories.

Working with people and looking forward to finding different opportunities to get involved in art therapy, spirituality, and international projects for oppressed populations.

Make a positive contribution to the lives that one comes in contact with.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I am looking forward to be able to host at my home and to being able to visit other places in the world. I am happy to offer some guidance or a hand for travelers who are in Colombia or NYC.

It has been a great and amazing experience. My first experience was at my host house in NOLA, and I was hostelworld by many hosts when I went to Europe. I have been in different CS activities in NYC. I have met some people who became my friends.

I enjoy rich deserts, rock music, an occasional glass of red wine, exotic cultures and natural places. I enjoy hiking in the mountains, and exploring seashores and riversides. I have a special affinity for watersides; water is a source of self-connection. I find cycling and roller-skating to be relaxing. I also like knitting and jewelry-making. I enjoy having an international community, family, and friends.

Music, Movies & Books

I grew up listening to classic and Spanish rock bands like Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Charlie Garcia, Soda Stereo, Andres Calamaro, Manu Chao, etc. I love dancing reggae, afro-latin (Salsa, Son Cubano, Cumbia), and Colombian folk. Through the Colombian dances I am able to discover my country's story.

I love independent movies from different countries and I am delighted with the magic realism of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Traveling and living in another country has been the best opportunity to learn about different cultures and to discover myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share what a wonderful country Colombia is with people. I study Colombian folk culture and so especially I love to share that. I like it when I meet someone from a culture I know little about who introduces me to what inspires them about their heritage.

What I Can Share With Hosts

I am interested in sharing everything I know about the most exotic places in my country. I love Colombian people, food, music and folk culture. I love dancing, especially Afro-Colombian dancing.

Countries I've Visited

Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Venezuela

Countries I've Lived In

Colombia, United States
