About Me
IMPORTANT
Make sure you read both tabs: "About" and "My Home". If you would like me to consider you a potential guest, the only thing I ask you is to read my profile before you send your request. There is a sentence you need to send together with your request. You'll find them throughout the profile.
WHO AM I?
Hi!
My name is Omar Alejandro and I am from Venezuela. I have been calling Norway home since 2015 and counting. I like sports, traveling, languages, food, and wine. I am an open minded person who enjoys meeting people from all over the world. I am always curious about knowing, understanding and respecting other people's belief, lifestyles, cultures, among others. Family and friends always come first; then sports and traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like CS because it allows me to interact with locals. The best travel experiences I have had always involved local people. You learn from them and you share with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Met Miguel Cabrera in a MLB game. We had a smalltalk and he autographed a baseball ball and my glove.
2) Went to Barcelona FC football game and ESPN interviewed me in the Camp Nou as a Barcelona FC fan. My mom called me 5 minutes after and asked me: What are you doing on TV? :-)
3) I have had the opportunity to live in 4 different countries and met amazing people during my journey in each one of them.
Teach, Learn, Share
🗣I love languages so I can teach you my native language (Spanish), English or Norwegian.
🕺🏽If you like dancing, then I can teach you how to dance Salsa, Bachata, Merengue or any other Latin music. You won't regret it.
🍛I like to be creative in the kitchen. Making food is one of those things in life that matches the saying: "the more we know, the less we know." I would love to learn how to make some traditional food from your country or any other place. If you are a cooking lover, then we can make some food together.
🍷I have also developed a passion for wine during the last couple of years. I am not an expert by any means, but I am fearless in asking questions, so expect lots of them. As Louis Pasteur once said: Wine is the most healthful and most hygienic of beverages. You have come to the key sentence, so make sure you add "The best wines are the wines we drink with friends" along with your request.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a lofty view over Oslo from my 17th floor flat and a couch. I live 5 min walking from Oslo Central Station, so it's straightforward to go anywhere from here. My motto is: "Mi casa es su casa."
