I'm an American-born, ethnically half-Arab half-Filipino traveller who works in the San Francisco tech scene. I love to travel and I find traditional hotels anonymous and boring. I see Couchsurfing as a good way to meet people from around the world, learn about the way of life and cultural norms in places I don't know well, and find authentic experiences when I'm traveling. I want to know what's good and bad about all the places I visit, not just the fairy tales tour companies sell—so I'd love to talk and hang out!

I may start hosting people, but I'll have to make the sell to my roommates first.

I don't read nearly enough, but I've been enjoying some meditation-related texts like Tolle's "The Power of Now" and Hesse's "Siddhartha". I'm working on Lanier's "Who Owns the Future", Harari's "Sapiens", and I found the graphic novel "Asterios Polyp" excellent. Murakami's "Norwegian Wood" is a great classic as well.
