About Me
Hi! I'm kinda new to San Diego. I graduated from UCLA with a master's degree last December and I started working at Qualcomm here in San Diego a few months back.
I'm a huge Manchester United supporter and I can't help but follow the UCLA Bruins, no matter how badly we suck at football (at least we did well in basketball this year). I love soccer and other sports in general (soccer more than the others, haha). I love playing soccer too. There's no better feeling than playing soccer in the rain!
I'm a voracious reader and I listen to a lot of music. I'm always trying to find a new artist or author that'll blow my mind.
I enjoy trying out of different types coffee and beer. I bet I've had beer from more countries than you have. 😜 My favorite drink though would probably be a single malt scotch on the rocks. I'm a sucker for smooth whiskey/scotch haha.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To find some cool people to hang out with. I'm pretty new to San Diego and a friend of mine suggested Couchsurfing to meet interesting new people.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books - Fantasy fiction and epic fantasy fiction like A Song of Ice and Fire, Wheel of Time, Kingkiller Chronicle, books by Brandon Sanderson, etc. Some sci-fi and thrillers (I've read every Dan Brown book) too. My to-read list is probably longer than the list of books I've already read.
Music - Mostly alternative, hard rock, metal but I'll listen to any song that has beautiful music and sensible lyrics.
TV Shows and Movies - Way too many to list here but some of my favorites are Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sherlock, The Office, The Big Bang Theory, House of Cards and pretty much every other Netflix original series. I also love late night talk shows and I try to watch every episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, Last Week Tonight and The Daily Show.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was lucky enough to watch Yellowcard perform live on their final tour. They had always been one of my favorite bands, so I was really sad when I heard that they were breaking up after one last tour. The concert was definitely the best concert I've been to by a distance. It was such an emotional night, knowing that this was the last time I was going to see them live. That, and screaming out the the lyrics to some of my favorite songs of all time, made the whole night an experience I'll never forget!
