I'm a solo long-term traveller (with a single 35L pack) who seeks genuine connections, good food, contemporary and street art, live music, adrenaline spikes, and good stories above all else.

I grew up in Atlanta, GA, a city nestled in the deep and hospitable southern United States but also vibrant, diverse, and progressive - known for its role in the Civil Rights movement, it's unprecedented role in hip hop culture, and an unrelenting preference for the word 'y'all'.

I try to view my life as a collection of memories, friendships, and experiences -- and travel in such a way as to seek those things out as my 'trophies', rather than collect possessions.

I've recently started a year+ long solo trip around the world in Dec 2017 in an effort to challenge myself, see the corners of the earth, and meet some incredible souls along the way. I've really enjoyed working on my travel photography (IG: @onebagawnderer) and writing (onebagwanderer.com) skills this year.

I was fortunate to meet several couchsurfers at Burning Man 2017 when I camped with CouchBurners, a camp comprised of CS members from all around the world. This was my introduction to the CS community, and I immediately realized I'd found my people. I hope to connect with many more in 2018 and beyond - and open my own home as a host once I return to the US in 2019.
